Privacy
The short version: we never receive your files, because there is nothing to receive them with.
What happens to a file you open here
When you choose a file, your browser hands it to code running in this tab. That code reads the file from your device's own memory, does the work, and writes the result straight back to your Downloads folder. At no point is the file — or anything derived from it, such as page text, thumbnails or extracted rows — sent over the network.
Close the tab and the file is gone from memory. There is no copy anywhere else.
How you can check
- Open your browser's developer tools (F12) → Network, then run a tool. You will see no upload requests.
- Load the page, switch your device to airplane mode, then use the tool. It still works, because everything needed is already in the tab.
- Every page shows a live "uploaded this session" counter. It is measured from real outbound requests, not typed in as a slogan.
What we collect
No accounts. No cookies. No file contents, filenames or file sizes. The site is a set of static files served from a CDN, which — like every web host — records ordinary request logs such as IP address and user agent for the pages themselves.
If we ever add usage analytics it will be a cookieless, privacy-preserving service that cannot identify you, and it will be stated here. We will not use Google Analytics.
Advertising
The site is free and paid for by display ads. Ad slots are always labelled, sit on a muted background, and are never placed inside a tool. Ads never receive anything about the documents you process, because that information never leaves your browser.
Preferences stored on your device
A dismissed partner referral is remembered in your browser's local storage so it stays dismissed. That is a single UI flag, it never leaves your device, and clearing site data removes it.
